Terms of Use

Welcome to Snitch Cam. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Snitch Cam mobile applications (the "Camera App" and the "Dashboard App") and related cloud services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
Snitch Cam provides a software solution that allows you to repurpose an old Android phone as a security camera (using the Camera App) and monitor it remotely from your primary mobile device (using the Dashboard App). The Service includes image capture, cloud storage, timelapse video generation, and optional live video streaming.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
3. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations. Specifically, you agree that:
- You will not use the Service for any form of illegal surveillance, stalking, harassment, or any activity that violates another person's privacy rights
- You will obtain all necessary consent from individuals who may be recorded by the camera, as required by applicable law
- You will only place the camera in locations where you have legal authority to do so (e.g., your own property)
- You will not use the Service to capture, store, or distribute illegal content
- You will not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service or its components
- You will not interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
- You will not use the Service in a manner that could overload, damage, or impair the Service
Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account.
5. Subscription and Payment Terms
Snitch Cam offers both free and paid subscription tiers:
- Free Tier: Includes 1 camera, 1 GB of cloud storage, time-lapse capture, instant capture, shoot plan scheduling, image gallery, and timelapse video generation.
- Pro Tier: Includes all Free features plus live video streaming, live audio, 10 GB of cloud storage, and unlimited timelapse renders. The Pro tier is available at the price listed in the app at the time of purchase.
Subscriptions are managed through in-app purchases via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Payment terms, billing cycles, and cancellation procedures are governed by the respective app store's policies.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. Any price change will not affect your current billing cycle and will take effect at your next renewal.
6. Data and Storage Limits
Each subscription tier has a defined cloud storage limit. When your storage limit is reached:
- New image captures may fail until storage is freed
- You can delete existing images to make room
- You may upgrade to a higher tier for additional storage
We reserve the right to delete data from accounts that have been inactive for more than 12 months, with prior notice sent to the registered email address.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Snitch Cam and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of all images and videos captured through your use of the Service.
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be subject to:
- Scheduled maintenance and updates
- Unplanned outages due to technical issues
- Interruptions beyond our control (e.g., network failures, natural disasters)
Snitch Cam is not a replacement for a professional security system. We do not guarantee that the Service will prevent theft, damage, or any other loss. You should not rely solely on Snitch Cam for critical security needs.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us at info@snitch.cam.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without prior notice, if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in activity that harms other users or the Service
- We are required to do so by law
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your data within a reasonable time after termination, unless retention is required by law.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- In no event shall Snitch Cam, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
- Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Snitch Cam and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the app or on our website. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
